Hi Robin,
Got a little problem, hope you could help.

We have implemented object replication between two repositories in a federated environment in D 5.3 SP6 env.

I am getting following error while trying to dynamically refresh a replica object by calling refresh method on it.
Please not that the user account from which I am calling refresh have "none" privilege and is a global user.

// Start of Error Message
Refresh error.
[DM_FOREIGN_E_COULD_NOT_REFRESH]error: "Unable to dynamically refresh 'aaa' replica object (XXX) from it's source object. The local object may not be an up-to-date copy. Master docbase is XXX. Master object is (XXX)."

[DM_FOREIGN_E_BUILDREPMAP]error: "Error building map of related object in replica refresh operation."

Docbase XXX from s6c1:
[DM_DUMP_E_NOT_SUPERUSER]error: "The dump operation cannot be executed because the requesting user (user002) does not have superuser privilege. Superuser privilege is required to dump objects from a docbase."
// End of Error Message

Please suggest if we need to change any configuration.

Regards,
Tapas

They should be on powerlink (powerlink.emc.com) under the documentation section. If you look in the release notes there is a section on the changes.

Session logs are not recorded in the database so not possible with SQL or DQL. If you look in the %DOCUMENTUM%\dba\logs subdirectories you will find individual session logs, it is possible you could find the information you need from analysis of the content of these files. Note that they do get cleaned up on a regular basis by the dm_LogPurge job

Oops - sorry I'm not sure why I wrote that! I meant to say if only I could figure out a way of scheduling that - but piping in an up to date list of xsl ids and their children id's from dm_relation I could make a mini Create_Dynamic_Content. Or multiples so one type of xsl gets updated hourly; another daily etc. Thanks for the comments about my site; it's built with Wordpress not Web Publisher although sometime I wish it was; and other times I wish the work one was with Wordpress hehe!

Hi Robin,

I agree that this is a reason why DocApps are bad.

This is something we explicitly wanted to address with Composer.

In the Composer world, you check in the 'source' Composer Project. Following the example you laid you, the Composer Project could include type definitions.

An automated build process can be used to generate the DAR and deploy the DAR on a nightly basis.

You can then supply your test manager with the list of changed files, do diffs on the different versions of the type definition, etc.
